The Posters are original, and come from a Regional Film
Archive in Mexico City.

They were designed in Hollywood and printed in Mexico.

Each Poster contains the same design elements found on
Posters from the US.

They contain both stills from the Film and also design
elements from the One Sheet Poster.

The typography, photos, artwork, stars names, credits,
drawings, scenes, emotional impact,

appeal, and intrinsic value are
virtually the same as Posters from Hollywood or any other

international Metropolis where the film had been shown.

However, the layout will be much flashier, more graphically
intensive, or even more lurid.

The size is appx. 13" x 17"---over 40% larger than
a standard Lobby Card.

As such, each Poster is a cross between a Jumbo Lobby Card,
Title Card, and a One Sheet Poster.

The Posters were printed on either heavy Cardboard Stock,
thick fine Linen Paper, or

sturdy Poster Stock.

Overall very good condition, altho there will be occasional
tears, pinholes, stains, etc.

There are eight different variations for each
poster---containing different stills from the film.

Some dupes.

[MOPO] FS Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! French 1980's linen

2009-10-28 Thread bill scutta
As much as I hate to do this, I'm parting with one of the crown
jewels of my collection. It's a crown jewel to me anyway because
it's far more eye catching than the US one sheet, and a definite
beauty for this title.

The piece is an authentic FASTER, PUSSYCAT! KILL! KILL! French
poster from the 1980's which I purchased from Bruce Hershenson's
emovieposter dot com site. The poster itself measures just under 15
inches horizontally and a hair under 23 inches vertically. It is on
linen. Shortly after purchasing this piece, I trimmed the linen
down for framing and, including the remaining linen, the entire piece
now measures 15 1/2 inches by 23 1/2 inches. The only noteworthy
flaws are some pinholes in the corners which I imagine existed prior
to linenbacking. There is also some paper separation in the mid
right of the image, which is where the poster was folded in half at
one point. (I have never folded it, I have always kept it framed or
rolled.)

Pics provided upon request. I tried to send them in this message,
but the message was rejected by the listserve.

My price for this is $300 plus $8 shipping to anywhere in the US.
Due to nightmares I have had in the past with overseas shipping, I
will only ship within the US. Paypal only. Any questions do not
hesitate to ask.

Email if interested.

Best always,

Bill Scutta

Anybody interested in this kind of material should DEFINITELY take a
look here:

http://www.filmposter.net/exploitation/exploitation.html

Since nobody was willing to buy the complete collection, I'm now
selling the material individually.

A few of the top titles (like the impossible to find Hallmark
onesheet for ILSA SHE WOLF) are already gone, but there are still
lots of goodies left.

Individual prices on request, please email me at m...@filmposter.net
or use the contact form from http://www.filmposter.net.

Best,

Today is Wednesday, Oct. 28, the 301st day of 2009. There are 64 days left
in the year.

Today's Highlight in History:

On Oct. 28, 1886, the Statue of Liberty, a gift from the people of France,
was dedicated in New York Harbor by President Grover Cleveland.

On this date:

In 1636, the General Court of Massachusetts passed a legislative act
establishing Harvard College.

In 1776, the Battle of White Plains was fought during the Revolutionary War,
resulting in a limited British victory.

In 1858, Rowland Hussey Macy opened his first New York store at Sixth Avenue
and 14th Street in Manhattan.

In 1918, the Republic of Czechoslovakia proclaimed its independence.

In 1919, Congress enacted the Volstead Act, which provided for enforcement
of Prohibition, over President Woodrow Wilson's veto.

In 1936, President Franklin D. Roosevelt rededicated the Statue of Liberty
on its 50th anniversary.

In 1940, Italy invaded Greece during World War II.

In 1958, the Roman Catholic patriarch of Venice, Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli,
was elected pope; he took the name John XXIII.

In 1962, Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev informed the United States that he
had ordered the dismantling of missile bases in Cuba.

In 1980, President Jimmy Carter and Republican presidential nominee Ronald
Reagan faced off in a nationally broadcast, 90-minute debate in Cleveland.

Ten years ago: Five Republican presidential hopefuls debated such issues as
abortion, health care and taxes in their second meeting in less than a week;
once again, front-runner George W. Bush was absent from the gathering in New
Hampshire. The House passed, 218-211, the last spending bill of the year,
which President Bill Clinton said he would veto.

Five years ago: Insurgents executed 11 Iraqi soldiers and declared on an
Islamic militant Web site that Iraqi fighters would avenge "the blood" of
women and children killed in U.S. strikes on the guerrilla stronghold of
Fallujah. Boston Red Sox fans turned out by the tens of thousands near
historic Fenway Park to celebrate their World Series champion team, the
city's first since 1918.

One year ago: Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was sentenced to four
months in jail for his part in a sex-and-text scandal. (Kilpatrick ended up
serving 99 days.)

Today's Birthdays: Jazz singer Cleo Laine is 82. Actress Joan Plowright is
80. Musician-songwriter Charlie Daniels is 73. Actress Jane Alexander is 70.
