[MOPO] A little game

2009-12-23 Thread Kirby McDaniel
Here's a little diversion for you. There's a film poster in a Hitchcock film.
What is the film and what is the poster?

(Now there MAY be more than one example of this -- I don't know.)

If you know e-mail me.

First correct answer wins!

Of course I am biased, but I think the collection of 480 single vintage 8 x
10 stills I added to my site last night (at

have ever seen!

I am somewhat surprised none of you mentioned Holiday Affair. Mitchum and Leigh
had great chemistry, and the most unusual Christmas dinner scene stands out
even after so many years. If you have never seen this movie, I highly recommend
it!

My favorite holiday movie is Miracle On 34th Street, the Maureen O'Hara
version, not the remake. And my vote for the very worst holiday movie is the
remake of It's A Wonderful Life with Marlo Thomas. FRANC

[MOPO] Fave Holiday movie and....

2009-12-23 Thread Joseph Bonelli
A great big Merry Christmas, etc., to each and everyone on MOPO.

My favorite Christmas movie has been the 1951 Alastair Sim A Christmas Carol
(aka Scrooge) since I saw it as a small boy.  It was at our matinee theatre
and I thought it was an old movie.but it was new!
I've seen it countless times since and just obtained the superb Blu Ray release
that came out recently with excellent picture quality.

Other faves are the 1948 (I think) Miracle on 34th Street and the 1984 (I
think) A Christmas Story.
