[MOPO] FA: 403 exhibitor & movie magazines, German programs, hardcover & softcover movie books, pressbooks, sheet music & bulk lots end very soon; lots of INCREDIBLE bargains

2012-02-05 Thread Bruce Hershenson
*I JUST LOOKED OVER THE 403 "REGULAR SUNDAY ITEMS" CLOSING IN A FEW HOURS,
AND I SAW LOTS AND LOTS OF REALLY WILDLY UNDER-PRICED ITEMS, SO IF YOU LIKE
THIS SORT OF MATERIAL, THEN BE SURE TO LOOK IT OVER VERY CAREFULLY, BECAUSE
AS OF RIGHT NOW, THERE ARE INCREDIBLE DEALS (and this is one of our better
Sunday auctions ever, as will be immediately evident when you look at the
items priced high to low!). I THINK THE VERY LOW PRICES MAY BE BECAUSE WE
DID NOT AUCTION THESE TYPES OF ITEMS THE PAST TWO WEEKS, SO USE THAT TO
YOUR ADVANTAGE AND GET GREAT DEALS!*

Three times *EVERY *week we auction hundreds of items that sell for low,
low prices (we actually sell lots and lots of items for $1 and $2, and
around half of all that we auction goes for $14 and under (and those are
pretty evenly spread between $1 and $14), and our leading 'competitor" *
NEVER* auctions even *ONE *item for less than *FIFTEEN DOLLARS*, due to
their *outrageous* $14 minimum buyers premium).

But Sunday's 403 exhibitor & movie magazines, German programs, hardcover &
softcover movie books, pressbooks, sheet music & bulk lots, closing *THIS
AFTERNOON* (not at night, like our Tuesday and Thursday auctions), on *February
**5th*, represent *REALLY* incredible values, and that includes a lot
of *really
good* items, and yet many of these are currently languishing at low, low,
prices!

With just *8 *hours to go, these 403 exhibitor & movie magazines, German
programs, hardcover & softcover movie books, pressbooks, sheet music & bulk
lots include a *WACKY *25 that have no bid at all, a* CRAZY *130 that are
$1 each or have no bid, a *not-to-be-believed* 167 that are still $3 each
and under. and a *MOUNT EVEREST-LIKE* 240 that are still $4 each and under!
*THAT'S RIGHT, 60% OF THESE ITEMS ** ARE $4 EACH OR UNDER (and one third
are $1 each or have no bid!), AND THAT INCLUDES A LOT OF GOOD ITEMS THAT
MOST DEALERS WOULD ASK $10, $20 OR MUCH MORE FOR!*

*Some may say they can't afford to spend money on "frivolous" items like
these right now, but I say you can't afford NOT to, both because many
prices are lower than you could possibly imagine, and this opportunity
might not pass this way again anytime soon, and also because THESE paper
items seem far more likely to hold their value than our paper MONEY which
erodes in value with each passing week!**
*

[MOPO] Movie Star statues for sale on eb ay and privately

2012-02-05 Thread Claude Litton
Many years ago when I was in the early stages of poster collecting I used
to visit antique shows and flea markets. I found some plaster statues of
Laurel and Hardy and the Marx Bros. and bought them for display in my office
in New York City on a shelf under the three sheet posters of Flying Deuces
and a Night in Casablanca. As time went on I began collecting these
statues as well as the posters. I have a collection of almost 400 of these
statues and of these about 50 are duplicates.

I bought the duplicates for my office but now that I am retired I am
selling them on ebay and also privately. This is a great opportunity for
those
of you that display posters to place a statue of the actor in the poster
alongside the poster. It makes a great display. Go to

_www.claudelitton.com_ (http://www.claudelitton.com)
to see a partial display. I am working on my
web site and will be showing all the statues there in the future.
In the meantime, please go to ebay and look up seller name

  clshowroom

and you will find my listings. I will list at least 4 to 10 per week. You
can email me with a want list at the mopo address or for a faster response
at _clshowroom@aol.com_ (mailto:clshowr...@aol.com)

Thanks for looking

[MOPO] statues encore

2012-02-05 Thread Claude Litton
Please don't think all the statues are as expensive as those currently on
ebay. Most of the popular statues such as Laurel and Hardy, W C Fields,
the Marx Bros, 3 Stooges, Jack Benny, Durante, Berle, Hope, John Wayneetc. are
obtainable around $100 each, with some for less.

[MOPO] West Plains Field Trip

2012-02-05 Thread Myles Jaeschke
Recently a friend of mine and I decided to consign some of our collections to
Bruce. We both simply do not have the time or energy to deal with eBay and
high
fees and many of the problem customers that come with dealing on eBay, not to
mention the time preparing packages for secure shipping.

Since we are relatively close (Tulsa, OK) we decided to take a drive over to
West Plains and deliver our stash in person. It was a real pleasure to meet
Bruce and several of his staff. Anyone who has an interest in collecting film
paper would be mighty impressed with the operation that he has set up here, and
probably envious looking at all the fantastic paper that is moved through here.

It truly is a well oiled machine. All the staff that we saw were busy working
and preparing materials for upcoming auctions, or packaging auction wins. In
fact the moment we arrived they were already handing our material getting and
getting it prepared for auctions.

A public thank you to Bruce for taking the time to show us around and being
passionate about this hobby. I know our material is in good hands.

Best,
Myles

2012-02-05 Thread Bruce Hershenson
Great stuff, Walter! I found one to buy, and drooled over dozens more.

What amazes me is that when I get phone book size auction catalogs I
usually only see a dozen or so items that are new to me, but when you do an
update to your site there is around half the items that are new to me!
