Hi,

How are you doing?

JAYNE MANSFIELD is known to have modeled her look after that of MARILYN MONROE
and this week I put up one of the rare photographs of the both together with
Jayne seemingly taking in all that Marilyn had to give. Also being offered is a
rare ROY SCHATT image of her without makeup walking on the streets of New York
with actor JACK LORD. Below is a preview and link to this photograph and more
up this week.

Regards,

Irv Gelb

2014-08-04 Thread Todd
This is an incredible collection encompassing a huge percentage of the all the
films ever produced.

It would be nice if the Academy or at least one of the major stars that command
$20 - $30 million dollars a picture, stepped up to the plate, bought the
collection and donated it to a major organization. It would be a almost a
drop in the bucket to them.

To read some really good articles about the sale of my complete collection,
google sale of Morris Everett Jr. Collection. Apparently I am not able to
post either a link or a photo on MOPO so you will have to find it yourself.
Profiles in History will sell it as one lot in Mid December in California.
There are 195,00 posters and lobby cards covering 44,000 titles 1908-2014.
Nothing is available for sale on an individual basis in advance.

Looks like I'm a little dyslexic with my grammar today.
You could leave off the between of and all in the first sentence and the
a between the be and almost in the last sentence.
Sorry about that.

Maybe the ACADEMY could reach one of them in Serbia as they do Expendables

Re: [MOPO] Sale of Morris Everett Jr. Collection

2014-08-04 Thread Tom Martin
so true Todd this will be the most historic film poster sale I ever
remember ... and to think no major studio , academy or University or
Museum had the vision or passion to make the collection happen and now
Morries time to let go and have his family enjoy te fruits to have a
secure life finaced by a hobby that a man in cleveland Ohio assembled
over years and with a dedication..Personally I think the afi and academy
shoudl give him a special award for being a Hollywood historian
extroidenaire - SALUTE!

You could leave off the between of and all in the first sentence
and the a between the be and almost in the last sentence.
Sorry about that.

This is an incredible collection encompassing a huge percentage of THE
all the films ever produced.

It would be nice if the Academy or at least one of the major stars
that command $20 - $30 million dollars a picture, stepped up to the
plate, bought the collection and donated it to a major organization.
It would be A almost a drop in the bucket to them.

To read some really good articles about the sale of my complete
collection, google sale of Morris Everett Jr. Collection. Apparently
I am not able to post either a link or a photo on MOPO so you will
have to find it yourself. Profiles in History will sell it as one lot
in Mid December in California. There are 195,00 posters and lobby
cards covering 44,000 titles 1908-2014. Nothing is available for sale
on an individual basis in advance.
