Re: [MOPO] [FA] Rebel Rousers (1970) and a question

2014-11-07 Thread David Rew

A little more sleuthing...

Seems the seller has a letter (to her father-in-law) dated Sept 1984, on
Trans-Continental Film Corp letterhead which simply states:

/Ron Brown has suggested I forward the enclosed posters. Hoping to hear
from you in this connection/

The letter is signed Larry Joachim, and here is he:
http://variety.com/2014/film/people-news/larry-joachim-distributor-of-kung-fu-films-dies-at-88-1201022509/

All I could find on Trans-Continental Film Corp was here
http://www.imdb.com/company/co0040232/?ref_=fn_al_co_7, and it seems
they were a USA distributor and they seemed to specialise in martial
arts films, and that seems to link tidily with the other posters this
sellers has (that arrived came with the letter):

Makes me wonder now too if this is not a re-issue (re-release) but a
1976 first release for the international market of this title hence
with a title change. The poster might very well be a first
release international version. This is getting even more interesting.
