First of all, we'd like to express our appreciation to Morris Everett for the undoubtedly-difficult decision he made yesterday to change his auction and show plans to avoid conflicting with our event.
The contract for our new venue was signed yesterday. As promised, we've updated the website with initial details and we're sharing that information (and a bit more) here as well. The convention will be held at the Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel on Friday May 22nd through Monday May 25th with dealers room setup on the evening of Thursday May 21st. The room rate will be $109 per night (plus taxes). We will be activating the pre-registration form on our website this weekend for attendees. The hotel is working on getting our room block and the web link for reservations configured. As soon as we get that information, we will share it here and on our website and Facebook. We are also working on compiling a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document regarding topics related to the new location such as parking, dining, etc. Dealers who we had already communicated with about Cinevent 47 before the change in venue will be receiving a survey soon regarding the configuration options for the new dealer's rooms. We intend to have the new layouts designed within the next 7-10 days. Something that anyone who wanted to help promote our show could do is "like" our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/cineventconvention) and, if you were so inclined, pass the link along to other interested parties. Also, if you'll be attending an event where you would be able to distribute some flyers for our show, please contact us at cinev...@cinevent.com so we can coordinate details.
