I am doing both and the only real added expense
is an extra table ($100 at Morrie's) and the
gasoline driving the 2 hours to Columbus
I might have an additional expense dropping off
the rental car at a different location from pickup

Not at all what I said, Zeev . Glad most understood my post. If there are going

shows. If however they mostly decide to do the Cleveland show and not Columbus,

You are right Scott.

This was posted by Michael Haynes of Cinevent, to one of the other
poster forums just last night:

"To clarify where things stand with Cinevent, here is some additional
information. As some of you may have heard, the hotel we have used in
the past has closed, at least temporarily, and we will not be having
the convention there this year.

Over the past week or so, we have spoken with a dozen hotels in the
Columbus area. We have found one which looks like a promising fit,
and we are working to see if an appropriate agreement can be come to.

We fully expect that Cinevent will continue to have an extensive film
program and a vibrant dealer's room with all manner of film-related
merchandise from films themselves (in most incarnations from 8mm to
Blu-Ray) to lobby cards and posters to books and magazines and more!

We expect to be able to make a definitive announcement on the details
of the next Cinevent in the very near future.

We thank all past Cinevent attendees for their support and we look
forward to seeing everyone in Columbus!"

Effectively Cinevent (with regard to posters) will become The Hollywood
Poster Auction(or Convention, i didnt quite catch the exact name). So
basically Cinevent is moving to cleveland under a new name with posters and
auction only. I'm fine with it. I'm thrilled someone is picking it up and

Thanks to Steve H. for holding the event all these years. Hopefully everyone
will continue to support the new venue/show and help it grow. I would still
like to see the date moved in the future. I understand hotel rates are
cheaper over this holiday but there is a reason for that: No one wants to
travel because it is a family holiday, like the 4th of July.
