[MOPO] Fw: [MOPO] Fw: [MOPO] What to do? feedback.......<><>

2006-08-31 Thread Walter Reuben

Hello again to everybody
I was on vacation for a few days.
While I was gone, I got this email from the seller who wanted me to pay
$90+ for something that should cost aobut $75 less:
"For ALL 13 scripts it's under $300. I sold 6 scripts in the same auction
for approx. same price as your 13. You don't know this yet but you have an
incredible TREASURE w/ these scripts. when you recieve them, if you are still
interested, you will see it's worth the $$$. I put $7.00 on shipping and start
my bid at $7.00 because I feel that the time it takes me to list, sell, &
ship the merchandise is worth at the VERY least this and ANY other bid is a
bonus for ME. Now I'm sorry it seems unreasonable for you but I DO NOT list
shipping discounts on the bids. It's my way of making money for the time and
effort I put into selling them. The quality of the scripts and the valuable
extras in them are by far worth every penny. However, if you feel that this is
still unreasonable we can cancel the transaction thru e-bay. And just so You
know, the person who was willing to pay the same price for 6 scripts is a repeat
customer. Thank you."
On the one hand, I am disgusted with this guy's attitude as expressed in
this email.  On the other hand, I do need the items which I bought, and I
am very reluctantly going to go ahead with it.
Cause, guess what, I complained to ebay on Sunday about the price gouging,
I got back the standard reponse that they would get back to me in 48
hours.  It has now been twice that long and they have never bothered to do
a thing.
I really appreciate all my friends out there kindly offering to have each
script sent to a separate address, but, honestly, that is a lot more work for me
to keep track of all these things.
I will simply not do business with this person again.
I think that the Mopo community was incredibly supportive of me in this
instance and I thank you all so very much.

this thread would have a different tone if the feedback system was
fair.

why should scammers, cheats and asses have the ability to tarnish a
responsible bidder?  non-payers can leave bad feedback.  what is a
more grotesque example of feedback stupidity.

a 9.00 transaction and a 900.00 transaction should not carry equal
weight.  but ebay is sooo stupid about this.  feedback
has become extortion by bad ebayers.

EBAY IS NO INNOCENT BYSTANDER.

I EXPLAINED MY 1ST FEEDBACK RECENTLY.. of an
enemy of mine starting a new account for the sole purpose of leaving bad
feedback.   the facts of this scam was so glaringly vivid, but ebay
only gave canned responses.

ebay is s fuu---kn stupidly bureaucratic.
don't you love their canned emails from people with names like ubtyut and
tyuirpe and wopighty and poqwerti and riotnod?  ebay.a company that
has no telephone assistance.

i have about 40 items (not only posters) waiting to be
listed/re-listed..but i have such a bad taste, i have no inclination to sell
right now!!!  so ebay loses?
this subject surfaces all the time.  but EBAY PROFITS
FINANCIALLY FROM BAD FEEDBACK.  i said this last week.  they have a
mediation center with a link similar to paypaland owned/affiliated probably by
an ebay company that for a fee of about 20.00 will mediate the removal of
feedback in "mutual feedback withdrawal" isn't possible.   i posted
this info last week.
