At the same time, you might do a little background reading on him. Might be interesting to you. [MOSAIC] great website for reading comprehension K-3
Hi everyone, I just got home from a workshop that I attended on improving reading comprehension in kindergarten through third grade. It was presented by dr. Joesph K. Torgesen from the Florida Center for Reading Research and Christine Carriere from Chicago Public Schools. They showed this great website: http://www.dww.ed.gov/Reading-Comprehension/topic/index.cfm?T_ID=36 The videos in the section see how it works are fantastic. Just thought I'd share if you haven't seen them before. ___ Mosaic mailing list Mosaic@literacyworkshop.org To unsubscribe or modify your membership please go to http://literacyworkshop.org/mailman/options/mosaic_literacyworkshop.org Search the MOSAIC archives at http://snipurl.com/MosaicArchive
Re: [MOSAIC] mentor texts for readers workshop?
Have you seen the books by Lynne Dorfman? She has 2 mentor text books, one fiction and one nonfiction. They are great references. If you type mentor texts on amazon, they'll come up for you to take a look at.
