[MOSAIC] Question about Hyperlexia
Hello, One of my colleagues has a child with hyperlexia, and she is struggling to find a system that will build his comprehension since he only likes the cadence of reading. He can follow simple directions, but she is wanting to boost his vocabulary as well as his ability to comprehend what he is reading. Has anyone had any success with any specific technique with this type of student? Thank you for your help! [MOSAIC] Questioning in Texts
Hello! I am currently teaching 1st grade and I wanted to ask your advice regarding books to teach Questioning. I have introduced the unit already, but my kids are having difficulty forming actual questions. [MOSAIC] At-Home Practice
Hello! I am teaching at a year-round school, so I'm actually getting ready for a new school year to begin in July. As I prepare, I wanted to set out a trajectory for my 1st graders to work on the comprehension strategies at home as well as at school. Does anyone have any ideas as to a trajectory for at-home practice or any guidelines/information to send home to help the parents with strategy work? Thank you all again for your help.
