also, as someone said - I use Frye once my kids have these because Frye has
more words. It's also a newer list. You can do all the same things using the
Frye list, but these DOLCH things are already made for you.

I strive for the top 220 by the end of second grade. Most kids can master
them; I only miss a few each year. There are a couple good websites for
games and pre-made flash cards. I do them in frequency order, not Primer,
pre-primer, etc. That usage data is too old (late 1940s pre-basal series
anthologies)
