[mou-net] Nashville Warbler, Cottage Grove
I was surprised to find a NASHVILLE WARBLER in my yard this evening, already heading south. There were also a lot of swallows on the move--especially Cliff Swallows. Thanks to all who let me know Dave was referring to an old post and I'm not missing out on anything (except for my own doing). Nice to get so many quick responses! No, you're not the only one, Jim. I don't have a post from Bob Dunalp either, regarding Minnesota Lake. Perhaps the post Dave referred to was sent by some one else? I'll check that. Re: [mou-net] Shorebirds-Faribault County
Thanks for the shorebird update, Dave. Am I the only one who got no MOU post from Bob Dunlap this morning? After checking, his last MOU post that I received was about a Prairie Falcon in Hubbard County. And the last MOU post I received from anyone (prior to Dave) was also yesterday from Al Schirmacher. Just wondering if there is a hiccup in the distribution system. -- Sincerely, Jim Ryan Saint Paul's Westside One of the first conditions of happiness is that the link between Man and Nature shall not be broken. -* Leo Tolstoy* A well governed appetite is the greater part of liberty. - *Lucius Annaeus Seneca* On Sun, Jul 29, 2012 at 3:16 PM, Dave Bartkey wrote: > Hi everyone, > Tod Eggenberger and I followed up on Bob Dunlap's post about Minnesota > Lake shorebirds this morning and found 11 species of them in the very > shallow water, including 3 American Avocets and a few Stilt Sandpipers. > This was at around 9 am. [mou-net] Shorebirds-Faribault County
Hi everyone, Tod Eggenberger and I followed up on Bob Dunlap's post about Minnesota Lake shorebirds this morning and found 11 species of them in the very shallow water, including 3 American Avocets and a few Stilt Sandpipers. This was at around 9 am. When we returned at 1 pm, we could not relocate the avocets. As in Bob's post, there were shorebirds all over the place. This spit should be incredibly productive over the next few weeks barring some heavy rain. Good birding!
