[mou-net] Birding about the Metro
Two new birds for the year yesterday (Wednesday): Song Sparrow under the feeder. I have yet to hear its song. Red-winged Blackbird on territory in Eagan. I may have seen it the day before, but did it did not sing and I did not grab my binocs. Canada Geese are beginning to carve up Quigley Lake. Yesterday there were one and a half pairs. Today there more, but they are not sticking around as there is very little open water. I wonder about the single goose. It is early on a prime spot and I suspect that its mate may not be returning. -- Steve Weston On Quigley Lake in Eagan, MN swest...@comcast.net Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
