[mou-net] Clearwater & Red Lake Counties - Clearbrook Sewage Ponds & Red Lake Falls Sewage Ponds
I was at the Clearbrook sewage ponds earlier today and found 2 Red-necked Phalaropes, a Sanderling and a single Franklin's Gull. Only other shorebirds present were 3 Baird's and a couple of Spotted Sandpipers. These were all on the far side of the first pond - on or near the berm. I also spotted a Great Egret at the Red Lake Falls Sewage Ponds. It was in the back cell but lucky for me it was high enough on the bank to see it from the gate (spotted while scanning the top of the berm between the ponds). [mou-net] Buff-breasted Sandpipers, Wright Co.
There are currently two Buff-breasted Sandpipers in a muddy field on the east side of Quimby Ave., south side of 110th St SW in far southwestern Wright Co. This is just east of county 1. In my experience it's a pretty tough bird for the county, I've spent a lot of hours looking, these are the first I've found.
