[mou-net] Common Gallinule ~ Hennepin County
(Posted by Conny M. Brunell via moumn.org) This morning I observed a breeding adult Common Gallinule at Wood Lake Nature Center in Richfield, Hennepin County. It was seen out from the observation deck swimming in and out of the cattails, and walking in the stubble. A nice unexpected surprise on such a gloomy, rainy day. Conny M. [mou-net] Common Gallinules, Sibley County
At least 2 Common Gallinules currently present on the north side of Sand Lake, south of Winthrop in Sibley county. 310 Street west of MN 15, directly across from the warning buried fiber optic cable post. Probably a third individual present as well, unless one of the pair seen moved very fast. Not a first for this lake.
