Re: [mou-net] Brownsville?

Still a lot of swans, geese, and ducks at both overlooks south of Brownsville.
Swan numbers peaked about 10 days earlier this year and they will stay until
freeze up.

Subject: [mou-net] Brownsville?

I am curious if anybody has a report of ducks and geese on the Mississippi
in the Brownsville/Winona area. Have the flocks arrived? Have they passed?
Any news would be helpful in planning a stay-at-home holiday drive.

Thanks for the notes and be safe this season.

[mou-net] Glacous-winged Gull (Dakota Co.)

2020-11-22 Thread Alyssa DeRubeis
Matthew Thompson identified a young Glacous-winged Gull in Rosemount this
morning. Consensus among knowledgeable “gull-ers” in the US agree that it is a
“slam dunk” pure Glacous-winged. Several others have photographed it, showing
the diagnostic wing spread.

The location is at/near the local dump at 44.7108200, -93.0437272, along 46.

Good birding!
