[mou-net] Varied Thrush

2022-01-19 Thread Lee Pfannmuller
This morning at approximately 9:50 am, an adult male Varied Thrush was observed
on the ground below our backyard feeder in south Minneapolis, 8 blocks south of
the Lake Street Bridge and along the West River Parkway for approximately 10-15
minutes. After it took refuge within an adjacent yew we have not seen it
since. Lee A. Pfannmuller

I also saw redpolls at my house in Afton for the first time ever.

On a different note, there is a very large flock of Bohemian waxwings in Grand
Marais, more than 100 individuals I believe.

During Project Feederwatch counts in our yard in Eagan, we saw our first
Common Redpoll on January 8, then 3 on January 15. Today, we have 8.

Three then and 4 today.  Given the variation in the amount of pink,
there were a minimum of 5 individuals.
