Re: [mou-net] Tricolored Heron -- Blue Earth County
I checked this morning around 7:00 for a half hour and again around 3:30 for fifteen minutes and did not see it either time. [mou-net] LaCrosse, WI Brown Booby
As some of you are aware, an adult Brown Booby is being seen and photographed in LaCrosse, WI. It was apparently first discovered on August 9, then relocated yesterday afternoon and evening as it went to roost, and it was still present this morning, August 11. It is being viewed on the Black River from Rose St / US 53 / WI 35, just south of I-90. This location is less than 3 miles east of the state line, so it wouldn’t take much for this bird to fly west and appear on the Minnesota side of the Mississippi River. The Dresbach Welcome Center on I-90 and the Mississippi R in the SE corner of Winona Co would be the spot in MN closest to where the booby is being seen. –Kim Eckert, Duluth General information and guidelines for posting: https://moumn.org/listservice.html Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html During the pandemic, the MOU encourages you to stay safe, practice social distancing, and continue to bird responsibly.
