There were four Red Crossbills at the Mesabi Range Campus today on top of the 
spruce trees at the NE corner of the college across from Silver Lake.  Two 
males and females.

There were two Glaucous Gulls sitting on Bailey's Lake in Virginia at 7 PM =
Thursday evening. =20
One adult and the other a first-cycle along with 800+ Herring and =
Ring-billed Gulls.

Ben Yokel's daughter contacted me today to report a Gyrfalcon was seen on =
the way
to work this morning.  It was chasing a Crow on Hwy 53 near the Eveleth =
turnoff (135).
Hope it sticks around for our CBC on Sat.

There is a first winter Glaucous Gull and a Lesser black-backed Gull
on Bailey's Lake (Virginia Lake) downtown Virginia near Silver Lake in
St. Louis County.
The Glaucous has been there for a couple of days, the Lesser showed up
today.

I just received a call from my husband who had great looks at a Black-throa=
ted Gray Warbler (YES, gray!) at the 500 block on 12th Street North in =
Virginia, MN.   It was very active but still in the area at 11:00 AM.   I =
am going there now.

condition for shorebird activity.  Tuesday's visit mimicked Saturday's =
