I had to take a double take, but there was a Brown Thrasher at my feeder this morning eating black oil sunflower seeds. The bird was scratching the seed with its feet while inside the feeder and then seemed to be caching the seeds at the base of a nearby pine tree amongst the needles on the ground. I managed to binoscope it with my cell phone camera (of course we don't have our camera at home today, doh.). What a great bird to end the year!
