Just visited the flooded fields south of Cologne, MN (Carver Cnty) - they are ice-free and full of ducks and swans. South of Hwy 212 and west of the intersection of Hwy 53 and 150th St. A scope is necessary to see: Gadwalls, Green-wing Teal, Pintail, scaup, Tundra Swans.... A Black Duck and Blue-wing Teal have also been reported but not for my eyes today. Plus, it's peaceful out there.
