18 warblers in Mille Lacs County yesterday, including a personal first
county Hooded Warbler at Milaca Hiking Trails. Strongest passerine action
was at Kathio State Park ("the woods were alive with the sound of
music....").
Ruddy Turnstones on Wigwam Bay, Mille Lacs Lake as well.
93 species (in the county) on the morning.

PS For those interested in chasing the Hooded - take 169 to 23, 23 west
through town, take the first right after the Rum River. Proceed to the end,
park in the lot on the left. Go right on the first trail next to the
cemetery (across the bridge twice), follow that along the river, take the
farthest left trail where it splits. Proceed about 150 feet or so, check
the brush along the left hand side of the trail. If you reach the marsh,
you've gone too far (probably).
