I took a trip to the North Shore this weekend in hopes of finding a Black-throated Blue. On Saturday afternoon, I heard what was very likely two of them on Oberg Mountain very near where the Oberg Loop connects to the spur trail. Unfortunately, I never saw them. Sigh. On Sunday morning, the wind was howling and I could barely hear the Red-eyed Vireos.
I did, however, see Parula, Black-throated Green, Blackburnian, Nashville, Yellow and Chestnut Warblers at Tettegouche, Crosby Manitou and Silver Bay Marina. Lots of Ovenbirds and Veery, as well. --rick, mpls ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
