On Sunday I saw an osprey on the pole nest on Randolph which is off Shepard Road. It wasn't the resident male from last year.
Also, the osprey nest on the tower in Black Dog Lake at the Black Dog power plant is hosting a pair of nesting Bald Eagles. They've been incubating for quite a few weeks now so the chicks should hatch soon. The nest can be seen from the road. The Twin Cities Osprey Project which is part of 3 Rivers park would appreciate reports of any sightings of osprey. Please report any sighting of an osprey (including when and where it was seen and what it appeared to be doing such as carrying nesting material, flying, perching, etc) to Judy Voigt Englund at jvengl...@threeriversparkdistrict.org.
