I was also at Lake Vadnais this morning, and in addition to Gail's report, found a pair of Broad-Winged Hawks, frequently calling and also chasing other birds off. Nearby, before seeing the birds, I found what looks like a hawk or owl nest, though I didn't see the birds at the nest at any point.
