[mou-rba] Rough Legged Hawk at the Coon Rapids Dam
Several of us were out on a guided hike by Gary Swanson the naturalist at the Coon Rapids dam and my friend Larry spotted a bird in a tree that turned out to be a rough legged hawk. It’s the first one I've seen there in maybe seven or eight months. It was dark and foggy but I managed to get a couple of photos of it to at least verify what it was. [mou-rba] [mou-net] Townsend's Solitaire - Dakota County
(Posted by Tom A. Tustison tomtusti...@hotmail.com via moumn.org) At ~ 1:45 P.M. today, I found a Townsend's Solitaire in Resurrection Cemetery located at Hwy. 110 Lexington. It is in a ravine between the road and Augusta Lake. It is near the center of the cemetery on the west side of the cemetery. The road bisects the ravine which has a small creek that flows into Augusta Lake. It was seen between the road and the lake, but seen from the road. It was in the deciduous trees in the ravine and on the ice.
