Hi. A current limitation of LAME is that it does not write VBR headers correctly. Someone says does not, someone says it does. :) The functionality of VBRFix seems straightforward enough. It would be great to have LAME also do this by default, so that MP3 files are properly encoded out of the box. Has anybody already tried to integrate VBRFix's functionality into LAME? probabry no. Are there any good reasons not to do this? Because no one want to do, Or no one has a spare time to do so, Or no one really think it problem, Or everyone think it was fixed. As for me, I am not much interested in it and am not willing to fix it. It would be a great project to work on, if there is demand for it. I will try to find the time to help, if needed. Do you write the code ? If yes, it sounds great. This causes problems when attempting to seek within songs, due to the lack of seek time information in the VBR files generated by LAME.
