Re: [mp3encoder] Lame changes the duration time of the resultingfile

Joaquin,

Have you thought of using Audacity? For a simple conversion from one format to
another Lame is very good, but if I'm going to alter the files in any way
(including combining files) I use Audacity...

Just a thought...

OK, I was already doing in that way using sox. Anyway if you encounter some
other posibility I'll be waiting.

Thank you very much.

Indeed with MP3s this is not so easy. It is probably simply impossible to

so after encoding, even when re-packing the MP3 files (i.e. not using file
concatenation, but copying data selectively, using the bit reservoir and

else there is), due to the fundamental nature of the encoding (being
 frequency- and not time sampling-based).

So in your case I would agree with Aleksandar, that .wav concatenation is
 the
 way to go.

Goldwave is also very good and usses lame_enc.dll which works better than
the command line version.

I'm developing and application where the concatenation and encoding have to
be automatically following a list of parameters. I can´t use audicity for my
porpouse.
