Tony, can you share your ObjRexx script that does the link creation?  I'd love to have it.

Chris,

I have an Object Rexx script that creates meaningful-named 'links' under WinTel.

For example, I have a link named:  "WebSphere MQ Messages (GC34-6057-01 - 200210)"
which points to: "C:\MQStuff\MQDocs\amqzao04.pdf"

I then open my "linked" folder where all is in there is the links and navigate the documentation.

Hello Chris,

This is just kind of ISBNs. What scheme would you expect from those? I usually put each file in the separate directory with the appropriate name; I put the different versions of the same document into the same directory; usually it is easy to guess by the document name which one is newer :-). I do not feel comfortable renaming documents named by IBM because I consider the original name as another search or reference key (e.g. for searching on the Web or talking to IBM support).

Speaking of MQ manuals.  Is there some secret in the naming scheme for the pdf files that someone could clue me in on?  I renamed them to something human readable after I downloaded them, but I am curious.

Could someone please direct me to the IBM web page for manuals.  I lost my previous links.  I tried searching the IBM site, but it's the worst thing I've ever encountered on the Web.

Does anyone know if there are any issues with MQ 5.3 CSD07 running on
Windows 2003 servers.  We are about to install MQ on a new server
running Win 2003.
