Utility to put messages on queues
I am looking for a utility that reads messages from a text file and puts them on MQ queues (On a windows platform) Regards Panayiotis (Pete) Petrou Systems Support Group Information Technology Division Bank Of Cyprus Ltd Tel. 22-848473 Instructions for managing your mailing list subscription are provided in the Listserv General Users Guide available at http://www.lsoft.com Archive: http://vm.akh-wien.ac.at/MQSeries.archive
MQ Coding conversion problem/question
We have the following setup: a. A windows 2000 queue manager exchanging messages with a VSE 2.5 MQ 2.1.2 queue manager. b. I send a message from the windows queue manager (code page 437 - x'1B5') to the VSE QM (code page 1047) without performing message conversion by the sender channel. c. I am expecting the message conversion to be done by the application getting the message. d. For this to work I performed the following: - Added line below to EDCUCSNM and re-assembled in user library EDCCSNAM TYPE=ENTRY,CODESET='IBM-437',CODE='AE' - Created tables EDCUAEEY and EDCUEYAE and and catalogued with JCL below: // JOB GENXLT // LIBDEF *,SEARCH=USRXLB.1 // LIBDEF PHASE,CATALOG=USRXLB.1 // OPTION LINK,CATAL // EXEC EDCGNXLT,PARM='IFILE(DD:USRXLB.1(EDCUAEEY.X)),NODBCS, X NAME(EDCUAEAA)' ENTRY TABLENAM // EXEC LNKEDT e. When I run my application to GET this message I error code 2111 with cc 1 ERROR: LEVEL =INIT, FUNC =GET , CC=0001, RC=2111 F. Prior to the get in my applicatio program I do the following: MOVE MQGMO-ACCEPT-TRUNCATED-MSG TO MQGMO-OPTIONS ADD MQGMO-CONVERT TO MQGMO-OPTIONS I am wondering what I am missing or what I have done wrong ? Any help would be appreciated. Re: MQ Series Beginners Need help
I am getting error MQ error 309010E - Queue checkpoint record missing. In reading the explanation, it says no checkpoint record was found on the queue. However, I do not understand how a check point record is placed on a queue. We are a VSE shop running MQ series 2.1.2 with no MQ series training. MQ Series Beginners Need help
We are a VSE 2.5 shop running MQ Series 2.1.2 interfacing with a WIN2K server running Websphere V5.3. Our program development staff have designed and are testing the following interface: A batch program reads sequentially a file with customer keys, thru the EXCI interface it calls a CICS program which accesses DLI databases using the customer key and extracts customer information. The extracted information are then passed to an MQI program which performs an MQCONN , MQPUT1 and MQDISC ( the MQ calls are performed for eachrecord written on the queue) to write the data on a remote queue on the WIN2K server. The problem is everytime this task is started our test CICS region goes SOS below this does not happen until about 400 records have been written on the remote queue. We are wondering, what could cause this SOS ? Nobody on our site has any MQ series experience and our management refuses to provide any training, so we are left with whatever we read in manuals and on the internet. Yes it did. -Original Message- From: MQSeries List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Stefan Sievert Sent: Wednesday, September 17, 2003 5:20 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: New to MQSeries Pete, you say: [...]using the transaction TST2 PUT 01 xxx where x is the transmission queue we setup. I am not sure if that can cause a S0C7 abend, but you shouldn't put to the transmission queue, but instead define a remote queue and use that for your remote tests. The only application that should normally put to the transmission queue is the queue manager itself.
