AW: AW: MO71 Command Fail/OK field not working.
Hi Benjamin, your command syntax is wrong: To activate a batch, you have to type cmd.exe /c In your case: cmd.exe /cd:\utils\notify.bat QMName or in MO71 even cmd.exe /cd:\utils\notify.bat %m according to Paul Clarke's mqmon.pdf chapter 8 - Queue Manager monitoring . What Windows version are you using? We use XP. Here is my command string in the Command OK field: d:\utils\notify.bat QMName. I also tried your syntax by typing cmd.exe /d:\utils\notify.bat QMName. With the same result. If I understand correctly, the string in this field is put into a system call system(). Could this be a XP specific bug? mit herzlichem Dank, Benjamin F. Havign the 'getting' application do the conversion makes much more sense as the 'putting' application has no idea where the message will end up (platform wise) If the final destination application isn't behaving and converting then a channel between the 2 OS/390 Qmgrs could do it.but it may be easier to change the applicaton so that it behaves itself. :) Failing that, maybe you could write an application that sat in the middle that did the conversion for it? The application on the second OS/390 platform does not do a 'get' with convert and thus the message is still in ascii code. What do I need to do to convert the message to EBCIDC before the message is 'put' from the client. Re: Unidentifiable reason code in DLH
Thanks all for your reply, Stefan did the right deal ! I could find the message: --- CSQ2001I ?MQP2 CSQ2QCP0 OTMA REJECTED MESSAGE - APPLICATION ERROR, SENSE CODE=001A0019, XCFGNAME=IMSXCF XCFMNAME=IMPA TPIPE=CSQ00034 --- My colleage administrating IMS showed me, that the IMS-application SD341P had an error and therefore OTMA rejected the message. So the batch program did not recognize that. Stefan, thanks for your help, it was great ! You have to subtract MQFB_ERROR from that value (300), which gives you the OTMA sense code. In your case that would be 26(dec); converted to Hex that is 1A. Now, chapter 4 of the OTMA Guide and reference available at http://www-3.ibm.com/software/data/ims/shelf/v6pdf2/OTMA_V6.pdf contains a list of OTMA sense codes and their cause. You should also see a message CSQ2001I in the SYSOUT of your MSTR started task that gives you additional information. The format of this message is as follows: CSQ2001I csect-name OTMA REJECTED MESSAGE - APPLICATION ERROR, SENSE CODE=code, XCFGNAME=gname XCFMNAME=mname TPIPE=tpipename Hope that gets you on the right track. CICS problem with CSQCTRUE
Hi all, we have sometimes storage problems in our CICS 4.1 environment. The UDSA below the 16MB-line becomes sometimes near full (generating short-on-storage) and my colleague for CICS has identified module CSQCTRUE, which uses a lot of its storage. But when I look in the module library SCSQLOAD, it shows me address mode 31 and residency mode ANY . So why doesn't the module use it ?
