Re: Just an add-on
hi all, Be carefull using the correlid & the msgid to carry user data. they are supposed to carry binary, so they will not be converted across platforms. If you want to add credentials to your data, I strongly suggest using XML as data format and a XML security mecanism like SAML (Security assertion markup language). Alternaltively, you can end to end crypt MQ message with a product like Policy Director (named the quater TAM4BI), who as the advantage to have leave the message layout unchanged. HTH, Luc-Michel. I dont know exactly what you meen with "piggi data". But if you want to abuse some MQMD Fields for your own purpose, I guess you could use the Fields for MSGID and CorrellID if you don't need their usual purpose. You can set both from within your application. These are binary fields. They don't go through codepage translation. How long is your data? If it's small you might be able to use the correlid, the msgid, accounting token etc. Or you could write exits which add and remove it from the data.
