Re: MQ on XP

2002-07-29 Thread Jeff_Lowe

I have installed and used the client successfully on XP and 5.2.1. The
manager is not compliant. See links below.

1) WMQ 5.2.1 client on XP

  and

both show that the 5.2.1 client is supported on
XP.

Hello,

Has anyone installed MQ 5.2.1 on XP professional? Is there any new
media for XP? I did not find any in the Websphere MQ link...

I tried installing 5.2.1 on XP. The install seems to succeed even
though it seems to hang when I try to create a queue manager...

Windows XP is not a supported OS for MQSeries 5.2.1.

WebSphere MQ 5.3 is the first version to support
Windows XP.

Did you try creating a QM from the command line? I've found that to be the most
stable mechanism.
