Re: Message on dead letter queue
Francois -- Here's what you need to do (and it's nuts, but so be it): 1) Start with the hex reason code (2508) 2) Flip the two bytes, giving you 0825 3) Convert that to decimal, giving you 2085 It has to do with how stuff is stored internally. I have notes on this particular thing -- it's not something a sane person would remember. Re: Message on dead letter queue
Francios, The reason code is actually 0825 hex (swap the bytes, since least significant byte comes first) which converts to 2085. Re: Message on dead letter queue
Francois, it's actually 0x0825 (little endian integer), which is 2085 decimal, which is 'object not found'. Most likely you are trying to put to a queue that doesn't exist. The structure of the MQDLH should be documented in the Application Programming Reference. Francois, Invert the x'2508' to x'0825', which is a decimal 2085 which is MQRC_UNKNOWN_OBJECT_NAME. Re: Message on dead letter queue
Your reason code is actually x'0825', which is a decimal 2085, or MQRC_UNKOWN_OBJECT_NAME. The bytes are reversed in the message because of the way Intel stores its data (I can never remember if it's little- or big-Endian), F Vartan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] M> cc: Sent by: MQSeries Subject: Message on dead letter queue List <[EMAIL PROTECTED] N.AC.AT> 07/09/2003 02:41 PM Please respond to MQSeries List Hi everyone, On the NT with WQM 5.3 when I am using amqsbcgc to browse our dead letter queue, I am getting this at the beginning of a message: : 444C 4820 0100 2508 5445 5354 'DLH %...TEST' 0010: 2E41 474D 452E 4F52 4420 2020 2020 2020 '.AGME.ORD ' 0020: 2020 2020 2020 2020 2020 2020 2020 2020 ' ' I think 2508 (decimal 9480) is the reason field.
