We have several hundred users that start an MQ client app as soon as they
arrive in the morning, and shut it down when they leave for the night. They
are connected the whole time, and it doesn't cause any problems. As long as
both halfs of the connection are "alive" (even if they're not especially
active), MQ keeps the connection intact. I know that many of my users go
hours without issuing an MQI call, and there isn't a problem.

Also if there is no activity on the connection for a period of time (hour
or so) will MQ automatically drop that connection and if so can I set that
time limit
