Not entirely in fact it is the use of Get-Convert which will be the problem. Message 1 is converted from the AS400 code page using codepage 500 and then message 2 is converted using codepage 037 at a later date. You have now applied different conversions to your data. Believe me when I say you will need to look into this very carefully indeed basically you are going to have to assess whether or not you are impacted by the differences between codepages 500 and 037, which may even go as far as needing to search your database name, address and free form text fields.
