how to reset sequence numbers
Hi All, How does one reset the sequence numbering of a channel? Thanks. Basically I have a MQ connection from Server A to Server B. Now I want the connection from Server C to Server B. I have copied all of A's mq objects to B identically and am trying to transmit from B to C. However I am getting the following error when I try to start the sender channel on C: pb.oddev01.dev.r10.es1.src.../mbs/src/cls/b390:runmqchl -c MC.CGI.CDS.001 -m aton.queue.manager 0783889, 5765-B75 (C) Copyright IBM Corp. 1994, 2000. Re: how to reset sequence numbers
Prits, the short answer is... On B (the sender), issue a RESET CHANNEL(channel-name) MQ will take care of resynchronizing the sequence number on the other end Regards, Rebecca Rebecca Bullock Computer Sciences Corporation Educational Testing Service Account Princeton, NJ 08541 e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED][EMAIL PROTECTED] -Original Message- From: Prithwiraj Basu [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, July 25, 2002 3:48 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: how to reset sequence numbers Hi All, How does one reset the sequence numbering of a channel? Re: how to reset sequence numbers
Prits, take a look at the RESET CHANNEL ... SEQNO(integer) command in the MQSeries Commands manual to achieve what you want. That is the change should be transparent to B. Thanks.
