Here the result of your demo without change:


 


And here with twidgetgrid1.fixcols.linewidth := 0;


 


Till now I did not catch how to hide only the first vertical line of the
first fixed column.
Maybe somebody knows how to do.

Here with a workaround, paste a little tstringdisp without frame with same
blue color in front of the vertical line to hide it:
