RE: [mssms] Question about supercedence
When you say know about do you mean sccm will run a scan using the detection rule if it installed the application? It's just strange that it hasn't supercededed on a few PC's. But within appdiscovery.log it's not even scanning for the presence of the application. Even though the console states it installed by the user on that PC. -Original Message- From: Todd Hemsell [mailto:hems...@gmail.com] Sent: 13 June 2014 21:25 To: mssms@lists.myitforum.com Subject: Re: [mssms] Question about supercedence no, it needs to know about the previous version. RE: [mssms] Solarwinds Patch Management
I wonder if a community effort to create and maintain SCUP catalogs could be tried. Most organizations don't have the in-house resources to write their own SCUP catalogs for all of the products that need frequent patching, but if various organizations could each contribute a catalog for one product, maybe it could work. I am very cautious with the required deployment. ☺ Just one computer in my test group and I’m the only one messing with it. Yes, the computer is in the collection and shows that it has received the advertisement if I run a report, but nothing is in software center. I’ve deployed required since Friday. Locationservices.log shows that the MP is discovered. Report for TS deployment assigned and not yet run shows that client received advertisement. Installation is set as required. Any ideas on why it’s not showing up? Thanks. To do an offline USMT capture requires a script. That's what we do.
