9958 chips for sale

2001-10-28 Thread Hans Otten

I found this message at www.aamsx.org, go look at this informing site!

Gilberto Dosvualdo reported us that he has Yamaha V9958 chips for sale, at
$17 each. These chips are the video processor of MSX2+ and MSX Turbo-R
computers, so they are used for upgrading MSX2 computers to MSX2+ (the
computer BIOS must be replaced too in order to achieve a full upgrade).
Payment must be done in advance. For more information, please contact
Gilberto by email.

Memory upgrade for WAVY70

2001-10-28 Thread Ivan Latorre

Hi

Does anyone have the schematics to expand (internally) the memory of
Sanyo MSX2+ computers?
I've seen some of them upgraded to 128/256/512 Kb.

128kb upgrade is simple. The machine already have a place on it's PCB for a
aditional
64kb memory bank. To have more than 128kb you will need to make a circuit
to
control the bigger mapper.

Web Server

2001-10-28 Thread Adriano Camargo Rodrigues da Cunha

Hi,

I didn't tell to this mailing list about this, only to the
Brazilian mailing list since it was just a test and I was in a
hurry.
Here goes a screenshot of Tupiniquim, a web server for
UZIX. It was up today, from 9:30pm to 10:15pm, and some brazilian
lucky guys could access its contents.

http://uzix.sourceforge.net/uzix2.0/webserver.gif

It's the unique webserver around the worlds that runs on a
MSX+UZIX with a 14400bps line. :)

RE: Web Server

2001-10-28 Thread MSX World

I must say: this is an amazing experience for a MSX!

Shall it be possible in the future to use our beloved MSX machines as
webservers for usage like the 'MSX SERVER'?

Title: RE: Web Server

...I'm astonished!

Keep up the good work! UZIX really is cool, though I've never used it (should I be ashamed now?)...

Anyway, a web server on an MSX... Who would've thought that?

Good job man! Now we need an IRC client :) Should be quite easy as IRC is just a 'fancy' telnet session, isn't it?

Introduction MSXWorld.Net

2001-10-28 Thread MSX World

Dear MSX Friends,

Due to a agressive virus in our colocated servers, all our data (containing
files of MSXWorld.Net too) has been lost.

This is not a problems, but there also went something wrong with the backup
of the DNS. That has caused that all our data, that wasn't stored at our
stand-alone computers, has been lost :(

You maybe think now: do I have a problem with that?
The answer: yes, you do!

On the Bussum fair, a few weeks ago, there were commercial papers shown,
which showed that MSXWorld.Net should be online at 18/11 this year. Because
we have to start all over again with the design and scripts of that site,
the deadline is now replaced to later this year.
We hope to have everything online before christmas.

More information we'll deliver in this mailinglist, so: stay tuned.

Greetz,
Jeroen Küppers
MSX World.
