[MSX] New files at Funet

2005-02-01 Thread Tristan Zondag
Hi All,

This is an automated email containing a report of new or changed files at the
MSX directory of ftp.funet.fi since the last 30 days.

The Funet MSX archive is accessible in two ways:

ftp: use an FTP client to connect to ftp://ftp.funet.fi and go to the /pub/msx
directory.
www: browse to http://www.funet.fi/pub/msx

I intend to let the script send this mail once a month. I would like to get
feedback from you all, eg if you want me to send it more often or if you dont
agree with it at all...

This report is generated on: Tue Feb 1 12:00:01 EET 2005

START FILELISTING.
==
/pub/msx
/pub/msx/magazines
/pub/msx/mep-mirror/Demos

END FILELISTING.

The full listing can also be retrieved by following this url:
http://www.funet.fi/pub/msx/whatsnew.txt

How to upload:

Preferably use an FTP client to connect and cd into /pub/msx/incoming. Upload
your file and then upload a TXT file with description or write an email to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] You're allowed to create directories, but you will not see
the files after uploading and you won't be able to download them. That is
normal, it's a security measure. If a file is incomplete I will contact you
directly.

Best regards,
Tristan Zondag

[MSX] Tape2Cas, Tape2HDD, Wave2Cas

2005-02-01 Thread Enrico
Hi MSXers!

In the past 2 weeks I've transfered many old cassettes (with rare and home-made
MSX programs), thank
to Tape2Cas, Tape2HDD, Wave2Cas and other tools! These are really useful
utilities!

But I have some questions:

1) some of these tools record Raw data when they don't recognize headers. And
so, what can I do
with raw data?
2) Tape2Cas recognize the Spectrum's Turbo Loader format. But other cassettes
have other turbo
formats... I've already saved these loaders in .BIN file, so is it possible to
disassemble these
BINs and add this format to the utilities? How can I do this? (what
disassembler?)

Thank you, regards.
