[MSX] ER-101 expansion
Hello guys! How are you? I have one ER-101 expansion but is without the cartridge connector...anyone know how is it? There is any circuit inside or is only a one to one connector from the ER-101 to any slot of MSX? I would like to know to make one ;) By the way, I have some Palcom LDs available, but at first I would like to trade for the Badlands... Thanks in advance, Daniel ___ MSX mailing list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Info page: http://lists.stack.nl/mailman/listinfo/msx
[MSX] Re:Re[2]: [MSX] MSX2+ power supply problem.
Hello all! I think it is a bit difficult, because all PSU of 2+ are on board... Try to replace the rectifiers diodes. best regards, Daniel AT PSU provides +/-5, +/-12 and ground. It's all your MSX needs. For sure you should disconnect (and optionally remove) original PSU and find out what type of voltage should go to MSX motherboard. But it shouldn't be too hard with all the marks on PSU and motherboard, even with dead PSU, Replace it with a normal AT PSU. It's a good idea if you use SunRise IDE cart :) I thought of that but i am not skilled enough to put the correct connector to adapt it to a MSX2+. I don't know if a normal european AT PSU can do well with this japanese MSX. ___ MSX mailing list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Info page: http://lists.stack.nl/mailman/listinfo/msx ___ MSX mailing list ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Info page: http://lists.stack.nl/mailman/listinfo/msx

Re: [MSX] MSX1 to MSX2 converter
Definitely the thing existed: http://page3.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c22474394 MSX1-MSX2 upgrade cartridges were common in Brazil. The first one available was created by Ademir Carchano. The first CARTRIDGE upgrade was the NEOS (above), in 1986 I think. Ademir created first the internal Kits for upgrade. And an MSX2+ expansion with FM in 1992 (in only 1 cartridge). And they are not common, even in Brazil. The cartridge itself has a 9938. You could cut off the wires of 9918, but in machines like Expert DDPlus, that uses MSX Engine chip, you couldn't do it. So, the cartridge have the 9938 at ports 88h/89h/8Ah. The cartridge has de V9958 and is recommended remove the MSX1 VDP and ROMs to work fine. Works fine in Expert and Hotbit, but I didn't tested it on others MSX1 computers. Re: Philips parts
Hi again!! Well, I have a MSX by Sanyo (Wavy 70FD2), and keyboard of this machine is not work...the keyboard film contact is broken (destroyed!)... One option is to buy Leonardo Padial's keyboard interface, which you can use to connect any PC keyboard to your MSX. The interface is quite expensive, but PC keyboards aren't. However, adapting a 8250 keyboard is probably cheaper. Yes...anybody with any 8250 keyboard avaiable??..please... :-) I prefer the film of 8250 keyboard because I would like the Wavy original... collector's things :-) Sanyo made the 8250, Philips designed only the case, probably... yes...probably...on 8250 main board have a Sanyo logo I'm looking for original black drives too... They look good in 82xx machines, but they are not good drives. Maybe it's a better idea to try and mount the black front onto a PC drive. Yes...again..it is collector's thing..:-)..but first I will want the keyboard film... Now..I have a question: I look in main PCB of 8250 and look a swicth (not jumper! really switch)...on center...OFF the MSX work...ON, MSX not work... so...what is this switch? It is said that it turns off the internal ROMs. Maybe it maps slot 1 to slot 0 as well, otherwise the service cartridge wouldn't work. hummm... anybody have this service cart? sounds interesting Bye, Maarten thanks a lot! Werner wrote: And Konami is Fudeba because they don't test the MSX version at the boot of Nemesis 3, placing a direct call to an adress in the sub-rom. That was why this game resets Hotbit Brazilian MSX 1... Hi there! The Nemesis3 test the MSX version yes, if it is a MSX1, 2 or if it a Japanese or International machine. In Brazilian Hotbit, exist a "secret" jumper on PCB...switching this jumper, The Episode II will run!! :-) greetz! Daniel MSX Mailinglist. Re: CGA monitor on MSX
Hi MSX users!! I'm a new MSX list subscriber and I will make a brief presentation: I live in Brazil and I am a MSX collector (and user). I have several machines and I am interested in any thing for msx, by the way, anybody have a Moonsound and/or a HBI-V1 cartridges to sell/trade for me? ;-) The Commodore 1084 monitor is REALLY a Philips monitor, but with different case. Also, I have two 1084 monitors, one with 8DIN and another with 9PIN, but I cant to connect any of my MSX's, the problem is the synchronism. Any idea? Your monitor is a 1084s SD1 or SD2? I have a SD1 on MSX in RGB ;-). I made a cable for the msx and this working. You can use a composite sync from 1084s. I'm technical electronic too ;-). Daniel Ravazzi from Brazil.
