Problems installing MUTT

Hi, I'm trying to install and configure MUTT 1.3.24 in Tru64UNIX 4.0F.
I have the tar file, I did extract all files, but when I try to run (#
configure ) command the system returns the following message:
# ./configure
configure: error: can not find sources in . or ..

Somebody knows how to correct this problem???

Please send any suggestions.

 No idea, but there is absolutely NO reason nor requirement to run
 configure as root!
