You'll need to go back, though :-) If you just didn't look at this stuff the first time around, then that is its own explanation. If you did, though, and it really didn't sink in, then PLEASE take some notes on what you missed and what you want to do and then, as you learn how to do those things, note what would have been clearer or more helpful to you.
