NatG, I hear you. I would have expected it to be already, and only, encrypted on the server side. It is hard to justify us using MLO in a corporate environment if a security breach can compromise our data. Very well said! I must say I am also disappointed I cannot use gmail and it sounded like this issue is not even on the to-do (one day) list. I would like to add I'd rather see it fixed for the program than implemented in the cloud, as I do not have any plans to use the cloud, but could use email reminders anyway. Please make sure that this issue goes into the documentation or maybe even the interface - I tried a lot before I posted here I was not able to set up gmail. [MLO] Hello I am wondering if you have a plan for mac version
I would like to know this as well. I myself have asked this in the past and the MLO team has not even acknowledged my question. If you check the uservoice website -this is the closest you will get I'm afraid-, you will see that this is not even planned. I can't give real statistics but the Mac community is taking off. I wouldn't mind paying even more money if Andrey hired more people and promised to shorten time to market features. I have the feeling that MLO development is slow and the team is not verbose enough because they may be too busy to actually communicate what they are working on. But how would this work? If you had a Task with multiple contexts, what rule would MLO use to determine which Context the task appeared under? Does my suggestion of providing a mechanism where the user chooses which contexts appear in the group headings (and ideally is also able to control the order of the headings) work for you? Alexandra, I created the small file on the device, created a completely new sync profile on the Cloud, but I continue to get the same server not found error. Interestingly, if I'm connected via Activesync (which can also successfully access the internet) I get either a (connection refused) or 'cannot create file, file already exists' error, depending on how cooperative Activesync is behaving that day. More often then not I'll get the cannot create file error-- although for the life of me I can't reproduce it on demand. Are there some temp files that may need to be flushed to allow a successful sync? Yes but as discussed on another thread that is completely unencrypted. Any cloud service is a problem for most corporations and when its completely unencrypted its hard to justify usage. Same here. I'm on the betas, and things go well there, but I feel like they're doing themselves an injustice in not bolstering their development resources. Active development itself can sell apps in the current marketplace. Developing multiple clients in a cross platform ecosystem isn't easy work! You can try to switch MLO-PocketPC to alternative SQLite database format: 1. Download this Windows application: http://mylifeorganized.net/downloads/files/MLOTweaker.zip 2. Cradle your device 3. Unzip and run MLOTweaker.exe on your Desktop 4. In PocketPC UI section UNCHECK *Enable SQLCE database* In PocketPC UI section CHECK *Enable SQLite database* 5. Uncradle device and restart it. 6. Create new data file on our device 7. Delete existing sync pair and create new sync pair to this new file. 8. Sync. *Q: I have installed MLO-PocketPC* *to Main Memory but I still have a problem. For what it's worth, I do get a 'File Already Exists' error when trying to use the 'Save As...' option, even though the name of the file is distinct. 3) did Cloud sync ever work on this device? if yes -after what updates Cloud sync stopped working Cloud sync has been working on the same device for the last year and a half. I don't recall that I did an update, it just started acting odd by requiring that I select the 'Synchronize' button 2x before it would actually connect on the second attempt, then more recently it stopped syncing altogether. I've tried reinstalling several times, clearing out all the MLO registry information after an uninstall with saved settings failed to have any effect. Generally speaking it feels like something has gotten gummed up in some registry or .ini file that's affecting operations... though I have no way to confirm or deny. As mentioned previously, connectivity is not an issue, nor are login credentials... It's almost like something on the back end of MLO PPC Sync
