I finally got it to work by disabling (i.e. uninstalling the Google app) and then enabling it. This was at the cost of losing the layouts on my launcher. Sadly the problem returned a day or two later. I don't know what widget is being suggested, but my practice was, before it stopped working, to say Hey Google Take A Note while the phone was in my pocket. [MLO] Recommendation: Using MLO on Wine in a Mac Enviroment
Problem: I work in the Mac dominated office. Frustrating as it means I can't have MLO easily in front of me in office hours. Solution: managed to get MLO up and running on Wine. Works great. I know a potential Mac app has been talked about, but this will get me by now. Drawbacks: - cloud sync a tad difficult to set up but I didn't try.
