[MLO] Re: How to use multiple intances

2014-09-28 Thread Stéph
Hello Alexis,

Allow multiple instances doesn't allow you to open the same file in both
instances. I can see why - it would be very difficult to keep both
instances synchronised. However, F3 works well for moving tasks around
within one outline file, as described by Dwight.

I was hoping that I could use multiple instances to drag and drop tasks
from one outline file to another (effectively as a manual backup), but you
have to cut and paste, because MLO doesn't support drag and drop between
multiple instances. In fact drag and drop could be massively improved. I'd
like to be able to drag text from other programmes (eg MS Word or pdf
copies of meeting minutes) to create new tasks, or to drop into the notes
of existing tasks. Here's hoping...

2014-09-29 Thread robisme (Olivier R)
I wish we could detach a tab, like with Chrome, and all the menus would be
available on this new window.
A bit like F3, but that would create sort of a new instance.

Exactly, Olivier!

As the workspace concept is already working fine it should be possible to
display a whole new instance working with the same .ml file.
