Re: [MLO] Re: Turning emails into MLO tasks

2019-04-07 Thread nald
I have a cloud sync subscription and used to use email to inbox function.
It stopped working when I reset the passwrod and It wont work with new
password. My "SMPT Server" is blank, Port number 578 and use SSL is
checked. Also, as it's gmail, I don't have username apart from the email
address. Is that what I enter for the user name section? SOrry to ask here
but can't find the setup walkthrough anywhere.
Thanks
Niall

2016-07-29 Thread Michael G.
Drag and drop still works and this nice thing is it creates a link in the
task notes to the email; both will copy the email text to the task notes.

Re: [MLO] Re: Turning emails into MLO tasks

2016-06-08 Thread Dwight

This is a function of cloud sync.

Cloud sync is a wonderful way of keeping your tasks updated across your
multiple computers, tablets and phones. It is also a pretty good way of
saving a copy of your tasks that you can recover in the event on a
disaster striking your only copy (like, left your iphone in your jeans
and laundered them.) It also offers a way to send in an email that shows
up as a task in your saved profile. You can find the details including
the monthly subscription price at
http://www.mylifeorganized.net/cloud.shtml. If you subscribe, I think
that it will invite you to create a "Tasks By Email" (TBE) address at
some point in the setup. If you subscribe and you don't see the signup
for TBE, come back here and I (or someone else) will give you the
step-by-step directions.

It has been a few years since I used Outlook. Back in the day, you could
use drag&drop to copy an email into an MLO task list. Have you tried that?

Once you have set that up, it helps for keeping the email at Inbox
Zero, as emails which are moved to MLO can often be archived.

Hope that helps.

Dear MLOers,

I'm wondering if there is a way of turning an Outlook email

(by clicking the little red flag) and I can turn an Outlook
task into an MLO task via the Outlook sync, but this Outlook
sync doesn't seem to sync those tasks that started off life as
an email.

Can anyone help me with this please?

Thanks,

There is a way to set up an email address of the form
