Can't make a connection to the mysql server.
[root@lhr root]# mysql_setpermission
Password for user to connect to MySQL:
Can't make a connection to the mysql server.
The error: Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: YES)
at /usr/bin/mysql_setpermission line 65, line 1.
[root@lhr root]#
no sir same problem i instal all rpms as rpm -Uvh ...
pls do help , i saw taht line ie line number 65 it is
$dbh= DBI->connect
("DBI:mysql:mysql:host=$hostname:port=$opt_port:mysql_socket=$opt_socket",$o

Requesting help to set root and usersword to MySQL.RPM installation
