Re: Good book for MySQL and Perl DBI?

2001-07-02 Thread Chris Worth

Paul DuBois' Book.

it is extremely well written and indexed. I've gone from a complete mysql bumbler to
somebody that can actually make it work in a short time thanks to his book.

I got very useful help. Thanks.

But now, I am facing another Java - JDBC problem.

I have successfully downloaded mm.mysql-2.0.4-bin.jar
driver, but I am not sure how to use this in my Java
application.

How should I register my application with the DB?

Class.forName("???");

Thanks,
Leon

Re: ./configure help

2001-04-09 Thread Chris Worth

I would think it is because you don't have all of the development tools in place.

also the path to mysql must be ok.

Hrrr, 7usr/local/mysql ? dunno if that's the reason.. but it
might not be able to find such path.

/usr/local/mysql perhaps??

they are the morons that babbled about a LINUX/WINDOZE hybrid virus

I have run Virex, Symantec Antivirus, and even disenfectant. The emails I
sent out had no file attachments. I email from a mac, and don't have any
macro viruses in the MS apps I don't even use.

So, is anyone else getting these?
